GROUP CLASSES

Ongoing Group Classes focus on a continuing series of postures designed to promote rejuvenation and relaxation for all ages and ability levels. Returning participants realize how much they missed yoga; beginners are surprised at how well they do, and at the immediate benefits yoga brings.

Strengthening and toning organs and muscles from the inside out promotes balance and an overall sense of well-being. The Taoist approach is to stretch — but not strain — and to build strength of the body and mind gradually. Like children learning to walk, students who consistently participate ultimately master the postures.

Classes concentrate on relieving stress, improving circulation, and joint rotation. Poses can be adapted for participants with sports injuries or special conditions. The instructor observes clients to check and correct postures and to offer alternatives.
